*Advice and alternatives when in a flare, how I went about soothing the symptoms and attempt to get my best and most precious sleep (at which happen to be the hours that were stripped from under me thanks to UC symptoms consumed my body and sanity!!!)
Being that everyone's body and circumstances is unique to their own, you may find some of these strategies to be very helpful and some that feel like they do nothing for you.
Determine what in your gut (no pun) feels right to you and go with it ...as long as you feel comfortable and if need, seek further advice from your physician in consulting you as well.
These things helped me personally with a lot of patience, time ( and I mean 13 years, because I'm learning on the daily) and determination to sustain my health, decreasing and eliminating excruciating pain and decreasing my chances of a colostomy bag or surgeries, sustaining life with as minimal to no medication as I can and maybe even reduce my risk of colon cancer.
